AI Resume Writer for Summaries & Bullet Points

Ask AI to tighten a bullet, rewrite a section or improve the whole resume, and review every change side by side before you apply it. Your employers, titles and dates are locked.

What it does

There are two ways to use it. A section rewrite works on one part: the summary, a role's bullets, a project, education or skills. Improve entire resume works on the summary, every bullet and the skills list at once, optionally tailored to a job description. You pick a tone (professional, confident, concise, technical, executive or friendly) and can add your own instruction.

Before

Responsible for handling customer complaints and escalations.

After

Resolved customer complaints and escalations, keeping first-contact resolution the team's priority.

A typical rewrite: stronger verb, same facts. No number was added because the original didn't have one.

How it works

  1. Start from the editor or a report
Use the AI button on a section, or Fix with AI on an ATS issue.
  2. Watch it write
The draft streams in as the model writes. You can stop at any time, and your resume isn't touched.
  3. Compare and choose
Suggestions appear beside the original. Pick which bullets to keep, or edit a suggestion before applying it.
  4. Undo if needed
Applying is one step you can undo.

Guardrails on your facts

  • Employers, job titles, schools, degrees, dates, locations, certifications and languages can't be changed. A whole-resume rewrite can only return summary text, bullets for entries that already exist, and skills.
  • Suggestions that add numbers, named technologies, qualifications (such as “certified” or “MBA”) or proper nouns not found in your resume are flagged and not pre-selected. In a whole-resume rewrite they're not applied at all: your original wording is kept.
  • The job description isn't treated as evidence. Tailoring may use its wording, but can't claim its skills for you.
  • Skills are kept only if the resume already mentions them.

What the guardrails can't catch

These are automatic checks, not a truth engine. Obvious inflation such as “led the team” when the original says you worked with it is flagged, but subtler overstatement without a checkable detail can slip through. Read every suggestion before applying it.

What's sent to the AI

Your resume content is sent without its contact block: name, email, phone, address, website, LinkedIn and GitHub are removed first. The job description and your instruction are sent too, to the AI provider configured by the service administrator. Details are in the privacy policy.

Limitations

AI features need a configured provider and are limited to 60 requests per hour per account. Long whole-resume rewrites can take a minute or more. Output quality depends on the model in use.

Give the AI useful facts before asking for stronger wording

A good instruction explains the goal and the boundaries. For example: “Make this bullet shorter, keep my individual contribution clear and do not add numbers or tools.” The source bullet should already contain the task and context. If you only write “worked on project”, neither a human editor nor an AI model has enough evidence to produce a specific achievement.

Here is a fictional source sentence: “Made an Excel sheet to check event expenses and showed missing receipts to the committee.” A careful rewrite could be: “Reconciled event expenses in Excel and flagged missing receipts for the committee's review.” It changes the structure and verb while preserving the actual responsibility. “Reduced event costs by 30%” would introduce a result the source never supported.

Review the suggestion against your experience, not only its grammar. Check who performed the work, whether the outcome was measured and whether a tool or qualification was added. The bullet examples and keyword guide show how to make wording precise while remaining truthful.

Before accepting an AI-written sentence

  • The action and level of responsibility describe what you actually did.
  • Any number has a real source and the correct measurement context.
  • Technologies, employers and qualifications were not invented.
  • You can explain the rewritten sentence in a follow-up interview question.

Questions before you get started

Can the AI write a summary for a fresher?

It can help phrase the education, project work and target role already in your resume. Avoid describing yourself as an experienced professional when the evidence is coursework or personal projects. A concise factual summary is more useful than a string of flattering adjectives.

Can I use a job description as proof of my skills?

No. A posting explains what an employer wants, not what you have done. Tailoring can prioritise relevant evidence and use familiar terminology; it should not claim a requirement you do not meet.

Will the app accept suggestions without asking me?

Rewrites are shown for review before you apply them. Protected fields and unsupported-fact checks provide additional limits, but they cannot judge every subtle overstatement. You remain responsible for the final wording.

Build, check and tailor your resume in one place, then practise the interview.
